As summer approaches we like to be able to enjoy our outdoor surroundings more. We use different senses outdoors. When walking or running we may dodge a stone or branch on the trail. We may pick up the sound of a squirel russling through the trees, hear the sound of someone speeding up on their bike or even a child over at the playground.
If you have a child ask them. "Do you hear that? What is it?" or "Wow..do you smell that? We must be by water. Lets find the creek". I believe this is a form of exercising. Exercising our senses and mind to body reations. Of course walking, biking, skating all burn calories. But lets be encourged about all of the gifts that exercising outdoors gives!
Make sure to exersice hours before the sun is over head... the hottest time of the day.
