My name is Kym.
I am a New Group Fitness Instructor.
I am a Native Washingtonian born and raised. Growing up I have styled hair for TV & Film. I also received my Geriatric Assistant Certification (PG Community College & Phelbotomy Certification to begin working as a Nurse Tech at INOVA Mt Vernon Hospital in Alexandria, VA and then George Washington University Hospital in DC.
I have always enjoyed an active lifestyle like riding bikes, badmittion, helping with community events, races, and organizations that help those in need like:
S.O.M.E (So Others Might Eat)
https://www.some.org/
Martha's Table https://marthastable.org/
Both are great places located in Washington DC.
Durning the pandemic I missed those interactions and started to drive for Grubhub and deliver grocery. It didn't make much money at all but I was able speak with people and stay productivie.
Now back in the gym I hear a lot of people say they are just getting back to working out, they have put on a few pounds, ect...
Needless to say I thought I would offer some classes and help those who could use a fitness partner that understands how it is to start over with their workout regimen.
Ok now for the formals:
Certified by NETA (Nation Exercise Trainers Association) for Indoor Cycle Instructor
Workshop Class for NASM/AFAA FITA (Athletics and Fitness Association of America ) for Group Fitness Instructor
ps...Im in the process of also studing for my ACE Certification as well. Wish me luck ;-)
